forkliftsreconditioned & used forklifts Pick up, transport and deposit palletized loads. Forklifts, also known as lift trucks, fork trucks, forklift trucks or industrial trucks, are irreplaceable in most warehouses, distribution centers and manufacturing and storage facilities. Forklifts are powered in one of three ways: propane, gasoline, or electric. Regardless of the power supply, all forklifts use hydraulic power systems to operate the lifting of palletized loads. warehouse1 has one of the largest selections of reconditioned and used forklifts in Kansas City. Maneuver throughout your facility and loading dock. The 3 wheel forklift has two wheels in front and one wheel centered in the rear, giving it a tighter turning radius than the 4 wheel forklift.
Especially useful for tight corners and functioning in a small area, 3 wheel forklifts are suited to tractor-trailer truck loading and unloading. Because these forklifts are powered by electric battery and have cushion tires, they are used primarily indoors on smooth surfaces. 3 wheel forklifts typically and carry 3,000 to 5,000 lbs.
In recent years, a specialized type of 3 wheel forklift has found a home on the back of many trailers. These 3 wheel forklifts called “piggy back” forklifts, and provide a mobile loading and unloading solution for delivery locations that are not equipped to handle palletized loads.
Move your palletized materials in a variety of settings with the “workhorse” of the forklift industry. 4 wheel forklifts are the most versatile, operating on propane, electric, diesel or gasoline engines and rolling on cushion or pneumatic tires. The capacity of these forklifts typically range from 3,000 lbs. to 80,000 lbs. Some models can lift 100,000 lbs. 4 wheel forklifts require the most amount of space in which to maneuver.
Electric powered forklifts are better for the environment because they do not release any emissions. Electric lifts, however, have cushion tires and operate on flat surface indoors. These lifts have lighter capacities than propane, diesel and gas powered lifts.
Internal combustion engine forklifts (diesel, gasoline and propane powered) can travel faster and lift greater capacities than electric lifts. With pneumatic tires, these lifts navigate most types of outdoor terrain. Propane forklifts provide the power of combustion without the noise of gas engine. They can operate both outdoors and indoors as long as ventilation is accessible.

Quickly load and unload tractor-trailer trucks. Stand-up counterbalance forklifts allow for easy operator entry and exit, improving productivity when the worker needs to load and unload often. Powered by electric battery, stand-up counterbalance forklifts operate best indoors on smooth terrain. The load capacity for these forklifts ranges from 3,000 to 5,500 lbs.
Hand stock and pick products directly from your top storage levels. The stand-up cab of an order picker lift moves up and down along with the load, elevating the operator to the height of the storage location. The smaller width of order pickers makes navigation in narrow aisles much easier. Load capacities of order pickers are typically set at 3,500 lbs.
Place and pick pallets from your narrow aisle and double-deep pallet rack systems. Reach trucks are equipped with outriggers on the front and telescoping forks that extend, allowing the operator to pick the load and retract it over the outriggers. Single-reach trucks can extend the distance of one pallet. Double-reach trucks can extend the distance of two pallets and are used for double-deep pallet rack systems. Reach trucks, used indoors for pallet storage and retrieval, have capacities ranging from 2,500 to 5,500 lbs.
Navigate the narrowest aisles of your pallet rack system. Turret trucks, also known as swing mast or very narrow aisle forklifts, give an operator the ability to rotate an entire pallet load 90 degrees to the left or right, without turning the base of the forklift. To increase safety and reduce property damage, turret trucks are recommended to be used with a wire or rail guidance system. Depending on the size of turret truck, load limits range from 3,000 to 8,000 lbs.
Economically transport your palletized loads across short distances. Pallet stackers are walk-behind or ride-on units that are easy to operate and do not require certification. Manual or electric models are available. Load capacities range from 3,000 to 8,000 lbs.
Transport your long materials, bar stock, tubing, lumber and steel with ease. Side loaders load and unload from one side. Often electrically powered, side loaders are for indoor use in very narrow-aisle and bulk storage systems.
Enhance the capabilities of your forklift. A variety of forklift attachments are available to lift, handle and load specific items and materials:
